Masonicare Corp in Wallingford, CT, seeks an RN/LPN Behavioral Health Asst Nurse Manager & Clinical Educator for Day Shift (40 hours/week). This role serves as educator and resource for the inpatient Behavioral Health Hospital and provides leadership to clinical staff to uphold patient care standards.

Under the Executive Director, you’ll manage orientation, nursing education programs, and education efforts aligned with quality initiatives, regulatory requirements, and CMS/DPH guidelines.

Qualifications

• RN/BSN required; clinical psychiatric nursing experience preferred.
• LPN license in Connecticut required.
• Minimum of five years of clinical nursing supervisor/charge nurse experience.
• 1–3 years of behavioral health experience preferred.
• Experience with clinical information systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee new hire orientation for Behavioral Health staff.
• Oversee Nursing Education programs ensuring best practices and regulatory compliance.
• Educate staff on quarterly outcome improvement efforts.
• Orient new hires into clinical settings at the Behavioral Health Hospital.
• Plan and evaluate training programs for licensed and unlicensed BH staff.
• Track education and compliance using Relias LMS per CT DPH and CMS requirements.
• Manage interdisciplinary plan of care to meet standards of care and institutional mission.
• Provide oversight and clinical management of assigned units across shifts.
• Plan, develop, organize, and evaluate patient care operations within budget and quality standards.
• Ensure supplies, equipment, and rooms are maintained and cleaned for admissions/moves.
• Supervise staff performance evaluations and corrective actions.
• Participate in committees and education sessions as required.
• Support QA/QI initiatives and survey preparedness.
• Attend regulatory agency meetings and stay current on nursing practices.
