Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise staff to ensure staffing levels meet patient and unit needs.
• Provide leadership support for professional governance and performance reviews.
• Coordinate patient care delivery, staffing, and resource scheduling.
• Forecast admissions and transfers to optimize patient placement.
• Promote staff competency and conduct performance and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Develop plans to advance staff from novice to expert in practice areas.
• Ensure practice within licensure, regulatory standards, and documentation.
• Assist staff with direct patient care when necessary.
• Oversee day-to-day operations and promote safety, quality, and patient experience.
