Job summary

ViaQuest in Columbus, OH seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to join our psychiatric and behavioral health team. You will provide comprehensive nursing care, screenings, med administration, and patient education across diverse populations.

A valid RN license and willingness to travel regionally are required; a background in developmental disabilities is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN license is required.
• Experience in psychiatric, mental and behavioral health services.
• Willingness to travel throughout the assigned service area.
• Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Address the behavioral and physical health needs of clients receiving treatment for psychiatric symptoms.
• Perform health care screenings and check vital signs.
• Administering injections and other medications as needed.
• Monitor and administer medication.
• Educate clients on pharmaceuticals.
• Gather client information and history from the Nurse Practitioner.
• Case management duties including coordination of community services.
• Assist clients in building skills including emotion, stress and anger management, communication and interpersonal relationships.
