Job summary

Richmond Behavioral Health is seeking an Advanced Practitioner to support the Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU), a sub-acute residential program providing clinical and medication management services to adults with behavioral health needs.

The role involves conducting comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnosing conditions, prescribing and managing medications, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to promote recovery, wellness, and community stability.

Qualifications

• Licensed medical professional specializing in behavioral health.
• Experience in psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
• Ability to prescribe and manage psychotropic medications.

Responsibilities

• Conduct service appropriate evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
• Diagnose health conditions and prescribe medications
• Monitor medication effectiveness and side effects; provide brief medical consultation and counseling
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and care providers
• Educate patients and families on health conditions and treatment options
• Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records
• Participate in care coordination and strategic planning across programs
• Serve as a clinical resource and mentor to other staff
• Other duties as assigned
