Job summary
VHC Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Behavioral Health Unit on the night shift. The RN provides direct and indirect care to patients and supervises unit staff while following hospital policies and procedures.
Strong communication skills and adherence to BLS, ACLS/PALS requirements are essential. The role requires an Associate's Degree in Nursing, Virginia or compact licensure, and ongoing certification maintenance with possible unit-specific requirements.
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Virginia or compact state
- BLS certification required
- ACLS and/or PALS certification may be required per unit policy
Responsibilities
- Provide direct and indirect nursing care to assigned patients.
- Supervise assigned personnel on the Behavioral Health Unit.
- Adhere to department and hospital policies; maintain documentation and communication.
