Overview

Youth Mentor: AM or PM

Hours: 7:00am - 5:00pm or 1:00 pm - 11:00 pm

Hourly Pay Rate:$18.00 to $20.00 per hour

Rotating 2 week schedule:

  • Week 1- Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
  • Week 2 - Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday

Embark at Hurricane - Stabilization and Assessment is a residential treatment center that provides a nurturing, home-like atmosphere for highly acute adolescent males and their families. We specialize in addressing complex issues such as traumatic stress, family dynamics, relationship challenges, and mental health concerns, all with a focus on family-centered healing.

Responsibilities
  • Walking students through their day-to-day activities.
  • Provide night time supervision of client emotional and physical safety.
  • Collaborate with therapists to implement interventions aligned with each client's treatment plan.
  • Relaying any pertinent information over to the treatment team.
  • Consistent and thorough documentation and reporting.
  • Crisis prevention and management.
  • Participate in staff bonding and house bonding activities.
  • Daily light housekeeping; sweeping, cleaning up/putting things away, dishes, etc.
  • Enforcing a positive environment and being a role model.
  • Contribute to meal preparation while promoting healthy eating habits.
  • Attend and engage in group sessions with clients, fostering a sense of community.
Qualifications
  • 21 years old or older
  • Current driver's license and a good driving record
  • Ability to effectively communicate and build healthy relationships.
  • Ability to set and teach positive values
  • Ability to perform CPR and First-Aid.
  • Ability to safely hold or restrain an upset or combative student
  • Skill in de-escalating agitated students.
  • Ability to pass a Utah State background check
  • Must be willing to make an 8-month minimum commitment
