Generations Family Health Center, Inc. is a regional community health center serving a thirty-seven-town rural region in eastern Connecticut, with sites in Willimantic, Danielson, Norwich, and Putnam. Our staff provides comprehensive primary care, dental, behavioral health services, care coordination, and community outreach. We also operate mobile programs and School-Based Health Centers.

Role: Behavioral Health Medical Director / Psychiatrist (MD/DO)

• Provide coordinated psychiatric services to patients using the clinical resources of the health center.
• Offer routine and crisis care for adults and children as assigned.
• Responsibilities include evaluation, diagnosis, medication management, patient education, and treatment planning.
• Maintain knowledge of agency and clinical policies, ensure patient confidentiality, and develop individualized care plans.
• Medically oversee the Behavioral Health Department, including direct supervision of medication providers.
• Collaborate with the BH leadership team to meet departmental and organizational goals.

Qualifications

• M.D. or D.O. from an accredited medical school.
• Residency training from an accredited institution.
• Board certification or eligibility in Adult & Child Psychiatry.
• Eligibility for Connecticut medical licensure and federal/state-controlled substance licenses.

Compensation & Benefits

Starting salary at $266,000+, commensurate with experience. Benefits include:
