Job summary
The Brevard Health Alliance Inc. is seeking a Medical Assistant to support behavioral health services in Palm Bay, FL. The MA will perform clinical and administrative duties within the medical home team, data entry in EMR, vital signs, and specimen collection as directed by clinicians.
Ideal candidates will have MA education, HIPAA awareness, and BLS/CPR certification, with experience in ambulatory care and patient-focused service.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program or an AA in Medical Assisting.
- National MA certification/registration (NCCA-accredited) is required.
Responsibilities
- Enter data into EMR and maintain accurate patient charts.
- Prepare exam rooms and assist clinicians during visits and procedures.
- Record vital signs and patient histories; perform routine screenings.
- Administer medications or vaccines as directed by the clinician.
- Support discharge planning and coordinate scheduling and follow-ups.
