Job summary

MaineHealth Behavioral Health in Brunswick, ME is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers in an outpatient behavioral health setting. You will room patients, obtain vital signs and histories, document in the EMR, and help patients feel welcomed, respected, and supported during visits.

Qualifications

• Education: HS diploma or GED; MA program with 160 clinical hours, or equivalent.
• Licenses/Certifications: Current AAMA, NHA, AMT, or NCCT; BLS required.
• Experience: Six months MA experience or one year as a MaineHealth Clinical Team Assistant.
• Additional Skills/Requirements: N/A

Responsibilities

• Room patients, obtain vital signs and health histories.
• Administer medications and injections as appropriate.
• Coordinate care and assist with procedures.
• Document in the electronic medical record.
• Help patients feel welcomed, respected, and supported during visits.
