Job summary

Voyages Behavioral Health in Sugar Land, TX is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) to deliver, direct, and supervise care using the nursing process for patients in the behavioral health unit.

Under supervision of the CNO or House Supervisor, you will plan, coordinate, and provide patient care, discharge planning, and family teaching for post-hospital care, with opportunities for growth in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold current LPN/LVN licensure in Texas and BLS certification.
• Crisis management certification required by hospital policy.
• One year of inpatient behavioral health nursing experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, direct and supervise care using the nursing process.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary care and discharge planning.
• Provide patient and family teaching for post-hospital care.
• Assess patient needs and connect to community resources.
