Qualifications

• MA Registered or Licensed Practical Nursing license required.
• One year of experience in a behavioral hospital desirable; phlebotomy skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assesses the physiological and behavioral health status of the patient.
• Collaborates with treatment team to determine appropriate treatment and discharge plans.
• Completes initial assessment and develops the plan of care.
• Recognizes, reports, and acts upon deviations in diagnostic studies.
• Monitors behavioral changes which may be related to medication administration.
• Accurately assesses and documents vital signs and ensures treatment of pain.
• Assists the client in understanding the disease of addiction and the need for treatment.
• Maintains a safe and secure environment for staff and patients.
• Completes and maintains accurate documentation per policy, including MAR verification.
