Appalachian Behavioral Healthcare in Athens, Ohio, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to support adults in a residential setting, helping them develop independent living and social skills. The role involves administering medications, documenting progress, and maintaining a safe, structured environment across shifts.

The position requires Ohio LPN licensure and may involve training staff, de‑escalation, and coordinating with a multidisciplinary team.

Formación

• License to practice nursing as a licensed practical nurse issued by Ohio Board of Nursing pursuant to Section 4723 Ohio Revised Code & proof of completion of an approved course in medication administration.
• Licensed Practical Nurses who administer dialysis treatment must possess Certification in IV Therapy pursuant to Section 4723.17 Ohio Revised Code.

Responsabilidades

• Support adults in a residential setting to develop independent living and social skills.
• Administer medications and maintain medication records.
• Provide general nursing care and programming assistance (vital signs, hygiene, daily living activities).
• Assist lower-level direct care staff and precept new LPN staff; participate in meetings as required.
• Order medications and medical supplies; keep nursing station and medication room clean and secured.
