Qualifications

• Degree in a health-related field is required.
• 2 years experience in mental health is preferred.
• Current licensure/certification if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Utilizing knowledge of mental health procedures act and regulatory standards to support inpatient and outpatient care.
• Conduct behavioral health assessments of individuals of all ages in emergency department or for admitted patients.
• Utilize excellent interpersonal communication skills in patient interactions.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate services and treatment.
• Demonstrate understanding of third-party payer systems related to authorization/precertification.
• Assist in data collection and reporting for program development.
• Document, collect data, and create reports for program development.
• Address age-specific mental/behavioral assessment needs for all ages in emergency or admitted patients.
• Coordinate treatments with standards of applicable acts, health department standards, patient rights, and confidentiality requirements.
