About the Position:
Under the supervision of the IHB Team Lead (LPHA), designs, provides, and oversees intensive home and community based clinical services for identified clients using a trauma-competent, strengths-based, solution-focused, and systemic approach.
A Typical Day as a Behavioral Health Intensive Home-Based Clinician:
- Complete needed psychosocial, mental health, and functional behavioral assessments to determine treatment recommendations.
- Provide strengths-based, systemic, and trauma-competent individual, couple, family, and group therapy to assigned clients.
- Actively work toward obtaining licensure as LCSW, LMFT, or LCPC.
- Participate in all required and requested training and supervision processes established by the agency, program, and IHB Team Lead/clinical supervisor, including the initial training and orientation to the agency and the Counseling and Intensive Home-Based Programs.
- Keep current on all program policies and procedures, implementing them as stated in the Counseling and Intensive Home-Based Program Manuals and as directed by program leaders.
- Accurately record all clinical activity for billing/credit service purposes. Maintains all official client records by utilizing and completing all required agency administrative and program forms as per the Behavioral Health Program record keeping policy, including all service documentation in the agency's electronic record.
- Obtain insurance/Medicaid information, when appropriate, and set sliding fee scale rates for cases where this is appropriate.
- Interact with clinical supervisor and office therapists in intake and assignment of new cases.
- Meet for a minimum of one hour weekly, or as otherwise determined, with supervisor (IHB Team Lead), and attend group supervision meetings and staff meetings as directed. Prepare for supervision meetings as prescribed by supervisor.
- Meet direct service expectations, which includes billable services, such as direct client face-to-face clinical contact or client-specific staffings/child and family teams.
- Offer sessions and services in homes and natural settings, traveling as needed to provide services.
Location:
502 S. Morris Ave, but a mostly remote position.
Work Hours:
Schedule is flexible and non-traditional; based on the availability of clients.
Does the Following Apply to You?
- Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling or Psychology, or closely related Human Service field.
- 2 years of experience in a clinical position (preferred)
Additional Qualifications:
- Completion of DCFS criminal background check and fingerprinting
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Obtain an insured vehicle
- At least three years of driving experience with a valid driver's license
