Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare or behavioral health settings.
• Experience performing intake screenings and risk assessments.
• Familiarity with HIPAA and behavioral health documentation standards.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first point of contact for patients seeking behavioral health services.
• Conduct structured intake interviews, screenings, and basic risk assessments.
• Coordinate referrals and schedule appointments with behavioral health and primary care providers.
• Verify insurance coverage and collect required demographic and clinical information.
• Document encounters, screenings, and referrals accurately in the EHR.
• Collaborate with integrated care teams to support warm handoffs and continuity of care.
• Provide patients and families with information about available behavioral health and support services.
• Prioritize and escalate high-risk or crisis situations following protocols.
• Maintain confidentiality and organizational HIPAA compliance.
