BrightView LLC is hiring a Counselor to support recovery pathways. You will lead group therapy, perform intake assessments, and provide crisis intervention. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team ensures aligned care plans and timely documentation.

The role emphasizes compassion, integrity, and adherence to compliance and harm-reduction practices in a dynamic clinical setting. Required 1+ year experience; state-regulated educational alignment and active licensure/certification.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in a relevant field.
• Bachelor’s degree or state regulation knowledge where required.
• Active entry-level clinical certification or licensure (e.g., CSAC-S).

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct group therapy sessions and patient intake assessments; provide crisis de-escalation techniques.
• Assist with treatment planning and review progress toward plan goals.
• Coordinate patient care with the onsite multidisciplinary team and attend required meetings.
• Document all treatment data in the electronic health record and meet regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• CLINICAL CARE:
  • Plan and conduct group therapy sessions and patient intake assessments based on clinic needs and best-practice guidelines.
  • Provide crisis and de-escalation techniques.
• TREATMENT PLANNING AND PROGRESS MONITORING:
  • Assist with treatment planning.
  • Review progress towards treatment plan goals.
• COORDINATION AND COMMUNICATION:
  • Coordinate patient care with the onsite multidisciplinary team.
  • Attend required meetings, including on-site staff meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings.
• DOCUMENTATION AND COMPLIANCE:
  • Timely and comprehensively document all necessary treatment data into the electronic patient health record.
  • Follow adherence to all necessary regulatory and company compliance requirements.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Highly empathetic and compassionate to effectively support the recovery journey of BrightView’s patients.
• Team-player, able to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment
• Adaptable and agile within a dynamic work environment
• Technologically capable, comfortable operating in multiple systems for communication and documentation purposes. Familiarity with MS Office software (Outlook, Teams, Word, etc) preferred

• Prior experience with harm reduction a plus

• EDUCATION
  • Required: Consistent with state-level regulation and requirements
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

• REQUIRED: Active entry-level clinical certification or licensure consistent with state-level regulatory requirements at minimum e.g.CSAC-S
