Job summary

Intermountain Centers is seeking a Counselor to provide a range of counseling services to members with mental illness, addiction disorders, or trauma effects. You will work with the treatment team to support recovery goals and coordinate care plans.

The role emphasizes collaboration, patient advocacy, and adherence to HIPAA policies, with responsibilities including program evaluation and outreach to community resources. A Master’s degree and public behavioral health experience are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required in counseling, social work, psychology, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in public behavioral health.
• Licensure: N/A.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate member’s mental condition through interviews, observation or assessments.
• Guide members in developing skills or strategies in individual or group sessions.
• Coordinate with the treatment team to develop care plans.
• Refer members to community resources or to specialists as necessary.
• Ensure HIPAA privacy and security compliance in daily work.
• Meet productivity expectations: 440 units monthly (22 hours weekly).
