Job summary

QuadMed in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Counselor for a 30-hour-per-week, on-site role. The position focuses on evaluating and delivering treatment for Substance Abuse and Mental Health, with caseload development across centers and plant locations.

The role requires a master's degree in counseling or related field and state licensure. You will counsel individuals and groups, maintain records, develop treatment plans, and coordinate with health professionals.

Qualifications

• Education: Master's degree in counseling, psychology or clinical social work.
• Experience: Minimum of two years' experience providing short-term counseling to individuals and families in mental health.
• Licenses: Licensed as LCSW/LPC/LMFT/APSW or must obtain within 1 year of employment; AODA license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Counsels clients individually or in group sessions to assist with dependencies, life adjustments or changes.
• Completes and maintains records and reports of patient histories and progress.
• Develops client treatment plans based on research, clinical experience, and client histories.
• Conducts chemical dependency program group sessions.
• Coordinates counseling with other health professionals and case conferences.
• Reviews progress to measure goal attainment and adjust care plans.
