Concern Housing is seeking a Behavioral Health Specialist to provide individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and linkages to community resources at the East Patchogue respite program. The role supports Recovery Specialists and ensures documentation and compliance with program requirements.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree and license in Psychology, Social Work, or Mental Health Counseling, with at least three years of relevant experience and strong written and verbal

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree and license in Psychology, Social Work or Mental Health Counseling.
• 3 years experience in a similar setting and/or working with people with mental illnesses.
• Good verbal and written communication skills, as well as sound judgment and assessment abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provides individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and recovery support.
• Completes and maintains client documentation and required forms.
• Links guests to community resources and coordinates with Recovery Specialists.
• Ensures compliance with NYSOMH regulations and program requirements.
