Job summary

Pyramid Healthcare is seeking a Counselor Assistant to support clinical services within our addiction treatment and mental health programs in East Stroudsburg, PA. The role involves assisting with client engagement, documentation, and coordinating treatment planning under supervision.

The position requires a Master’s or Bachelor’s in a human services field and progress toward professional certification; typical hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm with pay ranging from $19 to $24 per

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in a human services area and working towards certification by a statewide certification board (CAADC) or a statewide clinical license.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a human services area and working towards certification by a statewide certification board (CADC).

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals in establishing connections with community supports to facilitate initiation and ongoing engagement in the recovery process.
• Support individuals in developing and solidifying long-term recovery supports and provide services throughout their engagement in the treatment continuum.
• Offer opportunities for individuals to direct their own recovery plans and supports, focusing on building self-worth, wellness, empowerment, and self-advocacy.
• Collaborate with families, service providers, other programs, and community supports to assist in goal achievement; initiate and develop treatment planning goals.
• Conduct individual and process group therapy sessions under supervision and prepare materials for sessions.
• Manage client files and communicate with referral sources and company representatives; participate in treatment team meetings.
• Attend training sessions and maintain a daily client caseload.
• Perform clerical duties for maintenance of client files and listen to clients concerning all areas of treatment.
