Job summary

Cahaba Medical Care Foundation seeks a Behavioral Health Consultant to provide behavioral health consultation to diverse patients in Marion and Hale Counties Jail setting. The role requires a Masters in Social Work or Counseling and appropriate Alabama licensure or supervision.

You will work with an integrated care team to improve psychosocial functioning, deliver assessments, plan care, and support crisis intervention within a fast-paced primary care–like environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work or Counseling.
• Licensed in Alabama as LMSW/LICSW/ALC/LPC or supervised if unlicensed.
• Ability to assess and diagnose behavioral health clients.
• Strong communication and teamwork within primary care.
• Knowledge of evidence-based behavioral treatments.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive behavioral health assessment and diagnosis.
• Develop and implement treatment plans to achieve goals.
• Evaluate crisis situations and deliver appropriate interventions.
• Collaborate with the primary care team for care management workflows.
• Teach patients and families behavioral health strategies.
