Job summary

Community Health Center of Meriden is seeking a Behavioral Health Clinician II to perform diagnostic psychosocial evaluations, develop care plans with clients and families, and provide individual, family, or group therapy as appropriate in an outpatient setting.

The role collaborates with psychiatric and medical providers, participates in on-call coverage, and ensures documentation complies with CHC policy and Joint Commission standards. A licensed credential and relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• Ph.D./Psy.D, LCSW, LPC or LMFT degree.
• Licensed in the State of Connecticut.
• Minimum of two years of experience with outpatients including experience with children and/or adults.
• Written and oral bilingual fluency in language spoken by patient population preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic psychosocial evaluations and develops care plans with clients and families.
• Provides individual, family, or group therapy as appropriate in an outpatient clinic.
• Collaborates with psychiatric and medical providers as part of the care team.
• Completes required clinical documentation in a timely manner per state and Joint Commission standards.
• Supervises unlicensed Behavioral Health staff or students as assigned.
• Participates in after-hours on-call coverage and team meetings.
