JOB OPPORTUNITY: Behavioral Health Clinician II

SVMC Holdings, Inc DBA St. Vincent’s Medical Center (SVMC) seeks a full-time Behavioral Health Clinician II to provide direct clinical care to patients diagnosed with mood disorders in an intensive inpatient setting, managing a caseload of no fewer than 8 patients daily; Facilitate two therapy groups per day, including processing groups (to encourage patients to discuss their struggles) and skill-based groups utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)-informed techniques, and problem-solving methods to achieve therapeutic goals; Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments for each patient and develop individualized treatment plans; Coordinate discharge and aftercare plans, including ensuring referrals to outpatient providers, community organizations, and other support systems; Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of psychiatrists, nursing staff, and social workers to evaluate patient progress, conduct risk assessments for suicide and self-harm, and implement safety planning; Document patient care and treatment plans using the EPIC electronic health record (EHR) system in compliance with hospital policies and confidentiality regulations; Participate in regular team meetings to discuss patient progress, treatment plans, and interdisciplinary collaboration. This position will work at SVMC Behavioral Health, 47 Long Lots Road, Westport, CT 06880.

Qualifications

The minimum requirements for this position are: U.S. Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field; 12 months’ experience working in any position providing clinical behavioral care; and possession of or eligibility for a Connecticut Licensed Clinical Social Worker License, Licensed Professional Counselor License, or Marital and Family Therapist License.
