Maine state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Masters Social Worker - Clinical Conditional (LMSW-CC), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor - Conditional (LCPC-c), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist - Conditional (LMFT-c) is required.
We seek a Behavioral Health Clinician to join our passionate care team at MaineHealth Behavioral Health at Spring Harbor for our Child & Adolescent Unit. This fast-paced, challenging role suits clinicians who enjoy working with a multidisciplinary team.
The Behavioral Health Clinician is a professional social worker/clinical counselor responsible for evaluating psychosocial needs of patients/clients and their families, providing diagnostic, preventive, and treatment services including individual, family, and group therapy. The clinician collaborates with other health/mental health professionals and provides consultation regarding social and environmental needs of patients/families. This work is performed under general supervision, following institutional and social work/clinical counselor policies.
Set on 50 private acres, MaineHealth Behavioral Health at Spring Harbor is southern Maine's only private psychiatric treatment and recovery center. Our inpatient programs serve children, adolescents, adults, and older adults, providing hope for those with various mental illnesses and co-occurring disorders, including Maine's only hospital treatment unit for youth experiencing both mental illness and developmental disorders like autism.
We have a collaboration with Maine Medical Center, enabling us to offer comprehensive psychiatric treatment, physician training, and medical research programs north of Boston.
Summary
Level I: The Behavioral Health Clinician I, working under a conditional license, provides comprehensive care to clients with behavioral health needs. Responsibilities include assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering direct care through individual, group, and family therapy. The clinician maintains clinical records, collaborates with community providers, and participates in team meetings for effective treatment and discharge planning. This role is under direct supervision to work towards independent licensure.
Level II: The Behavioral Health Clinician II, with an independent license, provides similar comprehensive care, including assessments, treatment planning, and direct therapy.
