Job summary

Advanced Correctional Healthcare, Inc. is seeking a Behavioral Health Specialist to screen detainees and provide individual or group psychoeducation and interventions. You will work under supervision, coordinating with custody and medical teams to manage behavioral health concerns.

The role involves monitoring detainees’ mental health, documenting care, and supporting discharge planning. CPR certification and a valid driver’s license are required, with licensure preferred where applicable.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in a Behavioral/Social Science field is required.
• Current licensure with clinical specialty from the appropriate state licensing board preferred.
• CPR certification must be obtained prior to hire and maintained while in this role.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Screen detainees referred by staff or identified through booking to assess behavioral health needs.
• Provide individual and/or group psychoeducation and skills-based interventions.
• Assist custody and medical staff in monitoring behavioral health of referred detainees.
• Coordinate with custody/medical staff for management and treatment of detainees with behavioral health concerns.
• Complete documentation and maintain records for referral tracking and CQI under supervision.
• Provide training to solve problems and support staff as needed.
