Job summary

Baptist Health in Montgomery, Alabama seeks a Behavioral Health Clinician I to plan and implement therapy services as part of an interdisciplinary team. The clinician will conduct assessments, group, individual, and family therapy, and manage casework with discharge planning involvement.

The role requires a Master’s degree in a related field, Alabama LMSW/ALC license, BLS, and preferred psychiatry/behavioral health experience. This is a PRN on-site position at Crossbridge Behavioral Health.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy or closely related field required.
• Prior experience with psychiatry and behavioral health; knowledge of case management preferred.
• Active Alabama LMSW or ALC required; BLS required; additional certifications may be required depending on area.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement therapy services.
• Function as part of the interdisciplinary team; conduct assessments, group, individual and family therapy, case management, and other therapeutic services.
• Provide collaborative discharge planning with patients and families to promote timely discharge plans.
• May assume primary therapist responsibilities as directed by the Physician.
• May serve as a preceptor to Behavioral Health interns; additional duties within scope may be assigned.

The Clinician shall function as part of the interdisciplinary team and is responsible for assessments, group, individual and family therapy, case management, and other therapeutic services. This individual is also responsible to provide collaborative discharge planning services with patients and their families to promote adequate and timely discharge plans. In addition, the Clinician may assume primary therapist responsibilities as directed by the Physician. The Clinician may also serve as a preceptor to Behavioral Health interns. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.**Education / Experience**:Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy or closely related field required.
