Job summary

The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, Department of Pediatrics, seeks an accomplished Associate Director for Behavioral Health Clinical & Operational Excellence.

The role supports department-wide leadership to enhance practice efficiency, standardize scope of practice, optimize revenue, and promote faculty well-being, with 0.20–0.30 FTE protected time and clinical duties for pediatric psychology services.

Qualifications

• PhD or PsyD from APA-accredited program.
• 3 years of clinical practice in Behavioral Health within Pediatrics.
• Licensed as a clinical psychologist and eligible for Colorado licensure.
• Eligibility for School of Medicine faculty appointment at Assistant/Associate Professor or above.

Responsibilities

• Support department-wide initiatives focused on behavioral health faculty practice optimization using QI/PI methods.
• Lead change efforts to implement practice optimization, securing stakeholder buy-in and clear communication.
• Identify opportunities to improve clinical practice models, scheduling, access and revenue optimization.
• Act as content expert on behavioral health topics influencing department and hospital strategy.
• Collaborate with clinical excellence and leadership committees and workforce planning.
