Job summary

UCS Healthcare in West Des Moines, IA is seeking a Clinical Director to lead counseling programs for mental health, substance use, and problem gambling disorders. This full-time, exempt role reports to the CEO and drives strategic direction for the department.

You will supervise clinical staff, ensure regulatory compliance, manage budgets, and collaborate with executives to align operations with organizational goals while advancing quality and access to care.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in human services or related field; eligible for Iowa licensure.
• Experience with ASAM Criteria, HIPAA, and 42 CFR part 2.
• At least 2 years in a clinical supervisory or leadership role.
• Strong organizational leadership and budgeting ability.

Responsibilities

• Lead counseling program development and management.
• Oversee day-to-day behavioral health operations and compliance.
• Manage department budgets and resource allocation.
• Supervise and mentor clinical staff and students.

Education

Master's degree in human services or related field

Eligible for independent clinical licensure in Iowa (LISW/LMFT/LMHC/licensed Psychologist)
