Job summary

SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital Midwest is seeking a nurse leader to provide leadership and coordination of unit staffing while ensuring implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care.

The role involves directing nursing and support staff, developing patient care assignments, collaborating with APNs to achieve outcomes, and evaluating care effectiveness across day shifts in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• One year registered nurse experience.
• Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification (AHA) and RN license for applicable state.

Responsibilities

• Assigns, directs, educates and monitors nursing and support staff during assigned shift.
• Develops and distributes patient care assignments to ensure population-appropriate care.
• Collaborates with advanced practice providers to ensure quality outcomes.
• Evaluates effectiveness of patient care and identifies issues affecting outcomes.
• Responds to complaints about patient care and manages through established channels.
• May provide input for hiring, training, directing, developing and evaluating staff.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
