Behavioral Health Case Manager II - Telephonic

Required Work Hours: Monday - Thursday: 11:30am - 8pm Eastern Time and Fridays 10:30am - 7pm Eastern Time.

This role enables associates to work virtually full-time, providing flexibility and autonomy. It promotes productivity, supports work-life balance, and ensures essential face-to-face onboarding and skill development.

The Behavioral Health Case Manager II - Telephonic is responsible for performing telephonic case management within the scope of licensure for members with behavioral health and substance abuse needs. Subject matter expertise in areas such as Eating Disorders, Maternity, Alcohol/Drug, Autism Spectrum Disorders, etc., is required.

Primary duties include:

  1. Responding to complex cases and account-specific requests.
  2. Using screening criteria knowledge and clinical judgment to assess member needs.
  3. Conducting assessments and developing care plans to meet identified objectives.
  4. Monitoring and modifying care plans as needed.
  5. Supporting member access to appropriate, cost-effective care.
  6. Coordinating with internal and external resources and collaborating with providers.
  7. Serving as a resource to other BH Case Managers.
  8. Participating in cross-functional teams and initiatives.

Qualifications include:

  • MA/MS in social work, counseling, or a related behavioral health field, or nursing degree, with at least 3 years of clinical experience with complex psychiatric/substance abuse treatment, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Active, unrestricted license (e.g., RN, LCSW, LMHC, LICSW, LPC, LMFT, LMSW, or Clinical Psychologist) as per state laws.
  • Experience in case management and telephonic/in-person coaching with members with complex disorders.
  • Managed care experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Broad clinical work experience.
  • Psychiatric residential or hospital experience is a plus.
