Job Title & Specialty Area: Behavioral Health Care Manager - TCHATT and CPAN

Department: Integrated Behavioral Health

Shift: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Status: Full Time; 40 hours per week

Job Type: Remote

PLEASE NOTE: Only fully licensed therapists who can practice independently within Texas will be considered: LCSW, LPC, or LMFT. No LPC-A or LMSW will be considered. This role involves managing a caseload of patients without responsibilities for managing daily operations of a healthcare facility.

Summary: This position supports families in managing stressors, providing psychiatric, psychological, and biopsychosocial support for pediatric patients across clinics and community services. Responsibilities include clinical assessments, treatment planning, counseling, and telemedicine services. The role acts as a communication hub with pediatricians, tracking behavioral health trends and developing treatment strategies.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assess children in need of behavioral health services, diagnose, and develop treatment plans; provide interventions and counseling.
  2. Conduct behavioral health evaluations focusing on risk assessments and safety.
  3. Perform psychotherapeutic interventions in person or via telemedicine.
  4. Support children and families ongoingly to meet treatment goals.
  5. Utilize DSM and ICD for assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
  6. Develop and lead educational initiatives on behavioral health issues.
  7. Communicate effectively with pediatric partners, updating on treatment progress and providing training.
  8. Create group programs based on community needs.
  9. Partner with pediatricians as their behavioral health expert, offering consultation and support.
  10. Handle child maltreatment evaluations, trauma, and safety assessments.
  11. Meet physical and non-physical demands as outlined in the job description.
  12. Perform administrative duties, critical incident interventions, and submit charges appropriately.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years post-graduate experience in behavioral health required.
  • 5 years preferred.

Education:

  • Graduate or professional degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or marriage and family therapy required.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Licensed in Texas for independent practice in relevant fields required.
