An established industry player is seeking a Behavioral Health Care Manager to join their remote team. This role involves overseeing mental health and substance abuse services, ensuring quality care through effective crisis intervention and discharge planning. The ideal candidate will possess a valid California license and have a strong background in behavioral health, with excellent organizational and communication skills. This role is a Triage call center position with shifts Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM Pacific Time.
Under general supervision, in collaboration with the clinical team, the responsibilities include authorizing and reviewing utilization of mental health and substance abuse services in inpatient and outpatient settings. The role involves data analysis, discharge planning, care coordination, crisis intervention, and participation in quality improvement projects.
Licensure is mandatory, requiring a current license meeting state, commonwealth, or client-specific standards. Required licenses include CEAP, LMSW, LCSW, LSW, LPC, or RN, with at least 2 years of post-degree experience in healthcare, behavioral health, psychiatric, or substance abuse settings. Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills are essential. Knowledge of utilization management, community resources, DSM V, and inpatient/outpatient settings is required.
