Our Child and Family Mental Health Teams is looking to hire a full-time, LPC or LCSW, LSCSW whose primary role will be to deliver evidence-based treatments for youth and their parents/caregivers. Overview

Children's Mercy Department of Social Work, Child and Family Mental Health Services provides programing, which supports families through evidence-based clinical services. Our mental health services are provided for a broad range of patients and families, including children in mental health crisis, parents struggling with child's behavioral problems, children and families who have been impacted by trauma, and children at risk for abuse and neglect. The age range for patients to receive services is as young as 2 and up to 18, or older within the emergency department should there be a need.Goals of treatment may include safety planning, crisis stabilization, skill development, enhanced resiliency, social integration, improved ability of parents to support their child, improved communication, and parenting skills. The Behavioral Health Care Coordinator is responsible for collaborating with internal and external team members to identify barriers to care and resource needs for patients and families.

This role works in the Partial Hospitalization Program and is Monday - Thursday, 8:00-4:30pm (32 hrs per week with Full-Time Benefits).

Responsibilities
  • Care coordination and delivery of patient and family focused services.
  • Collaboration with multi-disciplinary care team and external care team.
  • Engages in ongoing professional development and administrative activities within the department, hospital, and community.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, or other related human services field preferred, and 3-5 years' experience.
  • Behavioral Health, Care Management, Case Management, Community Mental Health experience preferred.

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $22.81/hr, but your salaried offer will be determined based upon your education and experience.

Remote Work/Work from Home

This position is not eligible to work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children’s Mercy locations and may not work from home.
