Position Summary
This is a fully remote position, Working 8:30-5:00 pm eastern with no weekends. The Care Associate position supports the Medicare Behavioral Health precertification team in providing optimal care to our members and providers.

Additional responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

  • Managing requests from non par provider for transition of care services.
  • Collaborating with Clinical staff and assisting with administrative work for outpatient cases.
  • Communicating with Behavioral Health Providers regarding requests for outpatient services.
  • Utilizing established workflows to review requests for services that do not require clinician review.


Required Qualifications

  • 2 years experience in health insurance field
  • Position requires proficiency with computer skills which includes navigating multiple systems and keyboarding.
  • Use a residential broadband service with internet speeds of at least 25 mbps/3mbps in order to ensure sufficient speed to adequately perform work duties.


Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 years Behavioral Health experience working with mental health population.
  • Comfort providing telephonic customer support to members with complex behavioral health needs.
  • Basic understanding of behavioral health levels of care and provider types.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$21.10 - $49.08

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
