If you are located in Washington, you will have the flexibility to work hybrid-remotely*with some field base in-person care as you take on some tough challenges

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide care management services to members which include coordination of care and behavioral health consulting
  • Serve Washington Medicaid members telephonically (primarily) with field responsibilities as required (typically 50mi. travel radius)
  • Provide behavioral health education, coaching and treatment decision support for members
  • Assess and interpret customer needs and requirements
  • Identify solutions to non-standard requests and problems
  • Assess current behavioral health status for members
  • Identify and prioritize gaps in care to develop plan of care to empower members to meet identified goals
  • Coordinate transitions between various areas of care from inpatient setting, state psychiatric facilities, and carceral facilities.
  • Obtain information from providers and coordinate services amongst provider group
  • Attend case staffings and inter-agency meetings supporting transitions in care settings facilitating pre and post-release care plans.

Required Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage and Family Counseling; OR Licensed Ph.D./Psy.D.; OR Registered Nurse w/ 2+ years of experience in behavioral health
  • Active, unrestricted, independent license to practice in the State of Wahington (i.e., LICSW, LMFT, LMHC, or RN w/ 2+ years of experience in behavioral health)
  • 2+ years Case Management experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, and internet)
  • Residence in the State of Washington
  • Dedicated workspace and access to high-speed internet via cable/DSL/fiber service in your home
  • Ability to Serve Washington Medicaid members telephonically with field responsibilities as required


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Dual diagnosis experience with mental health and substance abuse
  • Experience working in an environment that required coordinating benefits and utilizing multiple groups and resources for patients
  • Experience working with the Medicaid patient population

The salary range for this role is $59,500 to $116,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
