Job summary

Meadows Behavioral Health in Scottsdale, AZ, is seeking a Behavioral Health Associate to join the treatment team. You will monitor patient behaviors, provide continuous care, supervision, and role modeling, and assist in data collection and records.

Under the Clinical Director's supervision, you will participate in treatment plans, intervene in crises, assist with admissions and discharge, and engage patients in activities and coordination with families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in behavioral science or related field preferred.
• High School Diploma/GED required.
• One years' experience working in a behavioral health care facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures the well-being of patients and provides a safe, positive, supportive, and structured environment.
• Interacts routinely with patients, observes behaviors, and communicates significant observations to group therapist and supervisor.
• Intervene appropriately with patients experiencing a behavioral crisis situation.
• Provide education in accordance with patient weekly schedule under supervision of Clinical Director.
• Participate with the treatment team in implementation of the individualized plan of care.
• Assist in the admission and discharge of patient.
• Engage with patient in activities and interactions designed to encourage achievement of treatment goals.
• Document in patient records timely, accurately, and appropriately.
• Serves as a resource for new patients introducing them to other patients and staff, explaining programs and encouraging participation.
• Initiate and maintain ongoing communication with referent, other health care providers as well as family members for care coordination.
• Assist with monthly chart audit process.

Report factors that may impede successful accomplishment of the treatment plan to group therapist and supervisor.Assists in the admission and discharge of patient.Engages with patient in activities and interactions designed to encourage achievement of treatment goals (e.g. peer support check-ins, virtual meetings, ancillary services, skill practice and exposure-oriented exercises, environment of care patient engagement activities, alumni visits, open art, gym, recreation, and Brain Center.Documents in patient records timely, accurately, and appropriatelyServes as a resource for new patients introducing them to other patients and staff, explaining programs and encouraging participation.
