Job summary

Comprehensive Healthcare is seeking a Behavioral Health Associate for our Waypoint facility in Walla Walla, WA. This part-time role includes evening to overnight hours and supports residents in 16-bed crisis stabilization and residential treatment settings.

The position emphasizes trauma-informed care, teamwork, and active involvement in individualized care plans, with a focus on safety, skills development, and transition to community outpatient treatment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be eligible for registration as Agency Affiliated Counselor.
• Must have valid driver's license and vehicle liability insurance.
• In compliance with state and federal law, candidates must complete a post-offer, pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Refer to WAC 388-113-0020 through 388-113-0030 for information on disqualifying convictions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and conduct social and leisure activities for clients.
• Develop and document appropriate safety plans.
• Facilitate educational, behavioral health, or skill-building groups.
• Follow lesson plans and connect material to individual treatment goals.
• Communicate effectively with children and youth of differing ages and development levels.
• Coach clients in practical living skills such as nutrition and budgeting.
• Accompany clients to appointments, community events, and outings.
• Provide daily oversight of medication self-administration and monitor symptoms and medication response.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment and assist with housekeeping as needed.
• Complete required documentation reflecting activities, goals, and progress of each client.
• Ensure PPE usage to protect staff and clients.
