Job summary

Summit BHC's Las Cruces Recovery Center is seeking a Behavioral Health Associate I to provide continuous client care onsite in Las Cruces, NM. You will monitor client behaviors, respond to crises, and support staff in maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment.

The role involves supervising clients, assisting in data collection, and leading activities that align with treatment goals. CPR/de-escalation training is required or provided upon hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months or more experience with the target population preferred.
• CPR certification and de-escalation training required (training provided).

Responsibilities

• Ensure wellbeing and a safe, structured environment for clients.
• Conduct safety checks and supervise according to guidelines.
• Interact with clients, document observations, and support group activities.
• Facilitate educational-rehabilitative groups and engagement in treatment goals.
• Take and record vital signs and report changes to supervising staff.
• Maintain client records timely and accurately.
