Job summary

Summit BHC is seeking a Behavioral Health Associate I for the Las Cruces Recovery Center in Las Cruces, New Mexico. You will monitor client behaviors, provide continuous care, and support treatment activities while maintaining safety and structured routines.

Responsibilities include safety checks, documenting records, de-escalation during crises, and assisting with group activities. Prior experience with the population, CPR/de-escalation certification, and a high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Six months or more experience working with the facility's population preferred.
• CPR and de-escalation certification required.
• First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure client safety and a structured, supportive environment.
• Conduct safety checks and monitor clients per supervision guidelines.
• Document in client records timely and accurately.
• Apply de-escalation techniques during crises and emergencies.
• Assist with activities and therapeutic recreation programs.
• Provide transfers or transportation as needed and report to supervisors.
