UofL Health is seeking an Assessment Clinician I to evaluate individuals seeking behavioral health and substance use treatment, justify admissions, and coordinate level of care with physicians, ARC, and external partners. The role includes performing insurance pre-certifications and may involve diverse patient populations from pediatric to geriatric.

Qualified candidates will hold a Master's degree in a related field, have at least 1 year of relevant experience, and maintain BLS certification.

Qualificações

• Master's degree required in a relevant mental health field.
• 1 year of experience in mental health/crisis intervention preferred.
• Valid Driver's License required for Mobile Assessment Clinicians.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; EMTALA knowledge recommended.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate individuals seeking behavioral health/substance use treatment and determine admission justification.
• Coordinate level of care with physicians, ARC, units and external agencies.
• Conduct insurance pre-certifications for evaluated individuals.
• Perform assessments across populations (pediatric to geriatric) as needed.
• Communicate clinical information to medical staff and document carefully.
• Provide referrals and collaborate with community partners to ensure appropriate services.
