The Center for Research & Health Equity (CRHE) is an integrated behavioral healthcare organization committed to expanding equitable access to high-quality mental health, substance use disorder, and co-occurring disorder treatment for adults. Through interdisciplinary collaboration, culturally responsive care, evidence-based practice, and community partnerships, CRHE seeks to improve behavioral health outcomes while addressing the social and structural factors that influence health and recovery.
CRHE provides outpatient behavioral health services, intensive outpatient programming, partial hospitalization programming, psychiatric medication management, integrated care coordination, and community-based partnerships designed to improve long-term health, recovery, and quality of life.
The Behavioral Health Admissions Coordinator serves as a central point of coordination for individuals referred to CRHE for behavioral health and substance use disorder services. The position manages the admissions process from referral receipt through intake coordination, eligibility review, documentation collection, level-of-care determination, admission scheduling, and handoff to the appropriate clinical program.
The Coordinator supports admission decisions within the scope of training, organizational policy, payer requirements, Delaware Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health (DSAMH) requirements, and the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) Criteria. The Coordinator must be able to identify the appropriate CRHE service pathway for adults presenting with mental health disorders, substance use disorders, and co-occurring conditions and elevate cases requiring clinical review or a higher level of care.
CRHE's planned service continuum includes early intervention, outpatient services, intensive outpatient services, and partial hospitalization services. The Coordinator will work closely with licensed clinicians, counselors, psychiatric providers, care coordination staff, billing/credentialing personnel, referral sources, and community partners to support timely access to care.
This position supports behavioral health admissions within a Delaware behavioral healthcare organization. The Coordinator must perform only functions authorized by education, training, experience, CRHE policy, payer requirements, and applicable Delaware requirements. Level-of-care recommendations requiring independent clinical judgment shall be reviewed by an appropriately qualified licensed clinician when indicated.
CRHE is committed to supporting the professional growth and development of its employees. Full‑time employees may have opportunities to participate in training, continuing education, professional development activities, and cross‑functional organizational initiatives.
As CRHE expands its behavioral health programs and service continuum, employees may have opportunities to assume increased admissions, intake, care coordination, utilization, or programmatic responsibilities and advance into higher‑level clinical‑administrative, admissions, program coordination, or supervisory roles based upon demonstrated performance, qualifications, organizational needs, and available positions.
The position requires regular computer use, communication with clients and referral sources, sitting and standing throughout the workday, and the ability to move throughout the clinical setting as necessary. Reasonable accommodations may be provided.
