Job summary

Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center in Camp Hill, PA is seeking a Behavioral Health Specialist II for the evening shift to support psychiatry and behavioral health services.

You will provide group-based learning, mentor staff, and assess vital signs; Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; evening shift with a $2.00/hour differential; Penn State tuition discount available for employees and eligible dependents starting Jan 1, 2027.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or four years of experience.
• AHA BLS certification prior to end of orientation period.
• PA Act 31 Child Abuse Training Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and apply group approaches to help patients learn coping skills.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Responsible for facilitating and adopting group approaches to enhance patient ability to learn new and appropriate coping and management skills for their respective diagnosis. Demonstrates intermediate skills and clinical judgment and acts as a mentor for other staff members. Performs assessment of vital signs for temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiratory rate.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

• Bachelor's Degree or four (4) years of experience
• AHA BLS prior to end of orientation period
• PA Act 31 Child Abuse Training Certificate
