Job summary

Damar Services, Inc. is seeking Intensive Autism Technicians to support children with autism at our Richmond, Indiana campus. This full-time role uses Applied Behavior Analysis to help children build skills and independence. We provide training, growth opportunities, and a mission-driven team dedicated to making a lasting impact.

Qualifications

• Experience with children with neurodivergence is preferred but not required.
• Ability to pass and maintain TCI certification.
• Ability to pass and maintain CPR Certification.
• Minimum age of 21 per licensure requirements.
• Valid Indiana driver’s license and driving record that meets eligibility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support children with autism using ABA principles.
• Attend mandatory staff meetings and trainings.
• Provide direct services to children and document progress.
• Operate vehicles to transport clients if required.
• Complete incident reports and maintain safety for clients.

Damar Services is seeking Intensive Autism Technicians to join our dedicated team at our residential campus located in Richmond, Indiana. In this full‑time role, you will provide direct support to children diagnosed with autism, helping them build skills and achieve greater independence using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). • Demonstrates confidence when making decisions in the moment regarding Skills Based Treatment
• Completes and updates mandatory training and other licensure related items in a timely manner
• Attends mandatory staff meeting and other meetings as assigned
• Attends meetings, conferences, and workshops as recommended by the Intensive Autism leadership team
• Provides direct services to children
• Participates in Behavior Skills Training (BST), as needed or appropriate
• Assists during Practical Functional Assessments, as needed or appropriate
• Operates Damar vehicles and/or personal vehicles to transport clients or perform other work-related duties
• Completes incident reports, including reporting any suspected exploitation, abuse, or neglect of a client
• Serves as a member of Damar Services’ interdisciplinary team
• Prioritizes duties in a manner consistent with organizational objectives and growth
• Shows initiative by identifying solutions to work towards improving stakeholder satisfaction
• Acts as a good steward of Damar and/or client finances

What You Need To Be Considered

• High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred
• Experience with children with neurodivergence is preferred but not required
• Ability to pass and maintain Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) certification
• Ability to pass and maintain CPR Certification
• Minimum age of 21 per licensure requirements
• Valid Indiana driver’s license and driving record that meets eligibility requirements of Damar’s insurance carrier (for all positions requiring driving)
• Be clear of any felony convictions, substantiated charges of neglect or other disqualifying criminal convictions
• Successfully complete a pre‑employment drug screen and physical
• Favorably meet and maintain Damar’s background screening

Essential Job Functions

The essential functions of this position require the physical ability and mobility needed to perform the job. This includes the ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods; occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50 lbs.; operate office equipment, including a computer keyboard; travel to other locations using private or commercial transportation; and communicate effectively to exchange information.

The position also requires the ability to recognize and respond appropriately to client behaviors, staff instructions, safety concerns, and emergencies in an environment where individuals may display aggressive, self‑injurious, sexually maladaptive, elopement, or other unpredictable behaviors.

Regular and acceptable attendance, excluding approved absences and periods of leave, is also an essential function of the position.
