Job summary

Damar Services, LLC in Indianapolis, IN seeks Intensive Autism Technicians to provide direct ABA-based services to children in our main residential setting on the Southwest side. The role supports the treatment team and participates in BST and functional assessments.

Requires a High School Diploma, CPR/TCI certifications, Indiana driver’s license, 21+ age, and successful background checks. Offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth within a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience with neurodivergence preferred.
  • Must pass TCI and CPR certifications.
  • Minimum age of 21 and valid Indiana driver’s license.
  • No felony convictions or other disqualifying crimes; background checks required.
  • Pre-employment physical and background screening.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct services to children using Applied Behavior Analysis.
  • Participates in Behavior Skills Training and during Practical Functional Assessments.
  • Maintains data collection and completes incident reporting as required.
  • Transports clients when needed and collaborates with the treatment team.
  • Attends mandatory meetings and follows organizational objectives.

Job description

Intensive Autism Technician

Damar is currently seeking Intensive Autism Technicians to join our highly skilled team for full‑time opportunities at our main residential setting on the Southwest side of Indianapolis where we provide services. The Intensive Autism Technician is responsible for providing direct services to children diagnosed with Autism, using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. They are also responsible for participating in Behavior Skills Training and assisting during Practical Functional Assessments. The Intensive Autism Technician performs a variety of duties, such as natural environment training, skills‑based treatment, data collection, and intensive autism intervention. The Technician provides direct support to individuals diagnosed with Autism who reside at Damar and assists the treatment team, including the Intensive Autism Manager, Supervisor, and Director of Autism Services, in evaluating clinical services.

  • Weekend (7:00 am - 11:00 pm / Sat & Sun) (optional 8‑hour shift Monday‑Friday)

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrates confidence when making decisions in the moment regarding Skills Based Treatment
  • Completely keeps mandatory training and licensure items timely
  • Attends mandatory staff meetings and other meetings as assigned
  • Attends meetings, conferences, and workshops recommended by leadership
  • Provides direct services to children
  • Participates in Behavior Skills Training (BST)
  • Assists during Practical Functional Assessments
  • Operates Damar or personal vehicles to transport clients or perform other work‑related duties
  • Completes incident reports, including reporting any suspected exploitation, abuse, or neglect of a client
  • Serves as a member of Damar Services’ interdisciplinary team
  • Prioritizes duties in a manner consistent with organizational objectives and growth
  • Shows initiative by identifying solutions to improve stakeholder satisfaction
  • Acts as a good steward of Damar and/or client finances
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience working with children with neurodivergence preferred but not required
  • Pass and maintain Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) certification
  • Pass and maintain CPR Certification
  • Minimum age of 21 per licensure requirements
  • Valid Indiana driver’s license and driving record meeting eligibility requirements of Damar’s insurance carrier for all positions requiring driving
  • No felony convictions, substantiated charges of neglect, or other disqualifying criminal convictions
  • Successfully complete a pre‑employment physical
  • Favorably meet and maintain Damar’s background screening
