Job summary

Neuropath Behavioral Healthcare is seeking a Behavioral Assistant in Hackensack, NJ, to provide essential support and implement treatment plans in homes and communities. About Neuropath Behavioral Healthcare Neuropath Behavioral Healthcare provides comprehensive therapeutic support services designed to address a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges. Our approach is rooted in evidence‑based practices, and our team of highly trained professionals is dedicated to providing individualized care for every client.

Behavioral Assistant (BA)
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support in the home and community to both youth and caregivers
  • Implement treatment plans
  • Deliver services as directed by the supervising therapist, including:
    • Using evidence‑based interventions and positive reinforcement
    • Assist parents/guardians with treatment plan implementation
    • Collect, track, and report progression or regression (including graphs when required)
    • Submit accurate weekly clinical progress notes within 24 hours of service provision
    • Assist with caregiver/staff training under the guidance of a supervising therapist
    • Recognize, prevent, and intervene in crisis situations appropriately
    • Participate in required training and maintain compliance with all agency policies

  • Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
  • Must pass all state and federal background checks
  • A pre‑employment, post‑conditional job offer drug screen is required for this role
  • Bilingual candidates (especially Spanish‑speaking) encouraged to apply
