mZero in Emeryville, California is seeking a Lab Technician to design and implement behavioral assays that assess how insects respond to visual and olfactory stimuli. This in-office role reports directly to the CEO and offers equity.

You will develop assays to test predicted repellents, analyze data, and present findings to leadership to advance the development of novel insect repellents.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop behavioral assays to assess insect response to predicted repellent compounds.
• Lead experiments to test compounds for broad-spectrum effectiveness.
• Analyze experimental data to optimize compound performance, ensuring repellency and odor characteristics.
• Present findings to the leadership team and contribute to the development of novel insect repellents.
