Job summary

Achieve Beyond in the United States is hiring Part-time, Hourly Behavior Therapists to provide direct ABA instruction to children under supervision, following plans by BCBA. You will join a collaborative team and participate in family debriefs.

You must be willing to travel to assigned cases in Montgomery and Prince George Counties, work in home-based settings, and maintain confidentiality. Achieve Beyond supports flexible schedules and ongoing training.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years working with children ages 2–21 in supervised setting OR current undergrad in a related field.
  • Experience using ABA preferred and successful completion of ABA training provided by Achieve Beyond.
  • Self-motivated, team player, patient and professional.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct ABA instruction per the BCBA's educational plan.
  • Participate in collaborative team meetings with BCBA and other therapists.
  • Communicate with families, provide session debriefs, and share home/community strategies.
  • Collect daily data and update the child's program book weekly.
  • Maintain confidentiality of information per state/federal regulations.

Now Hiring: Part-time, Hourly Behavior Therapists
Starting Hourly Rate: $20-$27
Location: Cases Available in Montgomery and Prince George Counties
Job Responsibilities
  • Provide direct ABA instruction according to the educational plan outlined by the Board Certified Behavior Analyst
  • Participate in collaborative team meetings with BCBA and other Behavior Therapists on the case
  • Communicate frequently with family members by providing debriefs at the end of each session, as well as resources and strategies that can be implemented in the home and community to promote consistency
  • Collect daily data and organize child's program book weekly
  • BTs must maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families in accordance with State and Federal regulations
BT Requirements
  • Must have a passion for working with children, families, and therapists!
  • At least 1-2 years working with children ages 2-21 in a supervised setting OR successful completion of or current enrollment in an undergraduate program in psychology, healthcare, human services, education, or related field
  • Experience using ABA preferred
  • Successful completion of ABA training, consisting of online and in person training provided by Achieve Beyond
  • Must be self- motivated, a team player, and exercise patience/professionalism
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills with children, family members, and supervisor
  • Passionate about helping children and families, and providing services of the highest standards!
  • Must be comfortable working in a home-based setting
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to travel to and from assigned cases including but not limited to driving personal vehicle, walking, and/or use of public transportation such as a bus or train.
  • The ability to climb and descend staircases
  • The ability to lift 10 pounds regularly
  • The ability to sit on the floor, kneel, and/ or crawl for extended periods

Compensation is determined based on experience and education, and will be discussed during the interview process.
