Job summary

TASKids in Arlington, TX is hiring a Behavior Therapist/RBT for part-time morning hours (15–20 per week). A $500 ABA sign-on bonus is offered after 90 days of client work.

You will join a team that provides training, supervision, and career growth in applied behavior analysis, serving children and families with ethical, evidence-based treatment plans.

Qualifications

• Experience in autism, special needs, education, mental health or ABA.
• 6–12 months experience with ABA; BA/BS preferred in psychology, counseling, social work or related fields.
• Available primarily 15–20 hours in the mornings; commit to 1 year of employment.
• Strong clinical insight and critical thinking.
• Bilingual therapists highly desired.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license and insurance.

Responsibilities

• Be fun, energetic, and motivating for the children and families served.
• Provide skills training and behavioral therapy to clients and families.
• Part-time schedule up to 20 hours/week; mornings available on multiple days.
• Travel between clients’ homes within Dallas area.
• Maintain accurate session notes and data collection.
• Provide feedback to parents under supervision of BCBA/LBA.
• Collaborate with clinical staff, schools and other therapies.
• Work as a technician implementing treatment plans under supervision and seek supervision as needed.
• Participate in ongoing trainings and supervision.

Job Requirements:

• Have experience in the field of autism and special needs, education, mental health or ABA


• Minimum 6 months – 1 years’ experience with ABA. BA/BS preferred in the fields of psychology, counseling, marriage and family therapy, social work, school psychology, education, special education, ABA, or related field


• Available primarily 15-20 in the mornings; able to maintain consistent schedule; Commit to 1 year of employment


• Possess strong clinical insight, and critical thinking skills


• Bilingual speaking therapists highly desired


• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license and driver's insurance

Job Responsibilities:

• Be fun, energetic, and motivating for the children and families we work with


• Provide skills training services and/or behavioral therapy to children, adolescents, adults and their families


• Part‑time (up to 20 hours per week dependent on the Technician’s and client’s availability and degree); available morning or afternoon hours on multiple days per week; reliable


• Travel between clients’ homes within an hour of central Dallas areas


• Maintain accurate records of sessions including session notes and data collection


• Provide feedback to parents/caregivers under the direction of the BCBA/LBA


• Collaborate with other technicians and clinical staff in the agency, as well as schools and other therapies client's receive


• Able to work as a technician who implements treatment plans under the supervision of the BCBA/LBA, seeking out additional support and supervision from clinical team as needed


• Participate in on‑going trainings and supervision. Must meet all training and certification requirements

Physical Demands

• Must have full physical dexterity/agility or be able to independently position self and perform all movements required (bending, kneeling, computer typing, standing, fetching documents from file cabinets).


• Must have sufficient corrected or uncorrected vision to carry out all duties and responsibilities.


• Need to be able to lift and carry pediatric population (weight ranging from 5 to 50 lbs.)
