Job summary

Tree of Knowledge Learning Academy seeks a Behavior Therapist or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to deliver quality 1:1 instruction to children with ASD in their naturalistic settings. You will collect daily data, track progress, and communicate with a clinical team to support individual goals.

The ideal candidate has experience in ABA or special education, can handle challenging behaviors, and is prepared to travel to Cleveland area centers with a reliable mode of transportation.

Qualifications

• Experience in childcare, ABA, or special education.
• Pass a background check.
• RBT certification within first 90 days of employment with training provided.
• Reliable transportation to travel to case locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality 1:1 instruction to children with ASD in communication, social, play, and adaptive skills under BCBA direction.
• Record objective daily data reflecting client progress toward goals.
• Maintain effective communication with team members and supervisors.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide quality 1:1 instruction to children with ASD in communication, social, play, and adaptive skills under the direction of a BCBA
• Record objective daily data to reflect client progress toward goals
• Maintain effective communication with team members and supervisors
• Being open and receptive to feedback

Requirements:

• -Must be able to handle behaviors such as aggression, tantrums, self-injurious behaviors, and potty training. This may include implementing crisis intervention practices at times (we will provide the appropriate training). This may include lifting and/or transporting children as need be
• -High School degree
• -Pass a background check
• -RBT Certification (Registered Behavior Technician Certification) with the first 90 days of employment - we provide the appropriate training

• Must have a reliable means of transportation to travel to case locations.
