Ozark Center in Joplin, Missouri seeks a Behavior Therapist II to work one-on-one with students and lead a small team of providers within the treatment plan. You will engage in extensive data collection and collaborate with the clinical team under trauma-informed care principles.
The role involves delivering intensive ABA interventions, supervising BT-I and IMP-I colleagues, and contributing to schedule development and training. Evening/weekend hours and TB testing may be required.
The Behavior Therapist II assists the Coordinator/Supervisor, the clients and their families in progress toward specific goals by working one-on-one with the student. This person works cohesively with the administrative and clinical team involved with the client’s treatment plan. The Behavior Therapist II leads a small team of providers both working directly with clients and providing weekly supervision to BT-I and IMP-I colleagues. The Behavior Therapist II will conduct extensive data collection of the client’s progress. The Behavior Therapist II provides services to individuals impacted by a variety of behavioral health (addiction/substance use and mental health) issues, recognizing that the individuals we serve often times have experienced trauma that affects their development and adjustment. The Behavior Therapist II demonstrates a warm and welcoming empathic, hopeful attitude, conveying a philosophy of dual recovery. The Behavior Therapist II will be trained in trauma-informed care and will work to help provide services in an environment that is sensitive and responsive which will prevent victimization, abuse, or trauma as a result of the care received. The Behavior Therapist II reports to Autism Supervisor and Clinical Director of the Bill & Virginia Leffen Center for Autism.
